My ‘Sea Salty’ Vegan Dulce de Leche is a smooth and silky caramel spread , with a light aroma of coconut and a rich caramel colour. It is slightly more salty than my ‘classic’ one. It is a great alternative to the non-vegan Dulce de Leche traditionally made with cow’s milk.
Ideal for spreading on bread, toast (with peanut butter!), crumpets, crackers, pancakes! Etc.
Delicious with fruit, especially banana (sprinkled with nuts!), also with ‘churros’, waffles and ice cream, etc.
It can be used as a filling for cakes or to make ‘alfajores’, banoffee pie, etc. and drizzling if warmed up.
It can also be eaten with a spoon, straight out of the jar!
